Supporting Sustrans

We (cyclists) benefit massively from the years of campaigning for a UK network for cyclist and walkers to use as an alternative to driving on roads and clogging up already overcrowded infrastructure.  To find out more go to: http://www.sustrans.org.uk/

Fundraise for Sustrans

13-28 hours per week weather dependant

Job description:
Sustrans cycle path fundraisers are informed, passionate communicators who work to promote the use of the national cycle network.  We work on the cycle paths in and around Exeter, talking to cyclists about Sustainable transport initiatives across Devon.  We need people who are willing to fundraise for a great cause to come and join our team.
Our staff work within a positive culture, where advocacy, spreading useful local knowledge and continuous learning is part of the job.  We are lucky to get excellent results based on employing excellent people, and the fundraising campaign is integral to Sustrans’ campaigning work.  We support our fundraisers with ongoing training delivered by people from throughout the organisation.

We recognise high performance and effort, and have numerous examples of people who have gone on to work elsewhere in Sustrans.  We also have many fundraisers who come back year on year to work with us again.

Core hours are 4pm-7pm weekdays, and 10am-4pm weekends.  Fundraisers will need to do a minimum of three shifts per week including one day at the weekend.

Mum’s Bike Ride

11160323_10155477966870319_1644065871_nThis annual event took place in Ebford near Exeter.  The cycle ride route  followed The Exe Estuary Trail towards Orcombe Point, on Exmouth seafront.  Truely a family event, it was all a lot of fun!

We welcomed a large crowd that lined the cycle path with lots of colour and entertainment along the way for everyone.  The full route was 12.5 miles and the short route was 5.5 miles.

This was and will continue to be a family event, bringing friends, loved ones and well wishers together to support and remember people who are living with or have lived with Cancer.

The event details are available on our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/cycle.hire.delivered
